AJAX Systems alarm systems are not affordable and do not have high-end wired alarms. While you can set up and install your system, many companies and shops can assist you. AJAX Systems recommends having everything installed by professionals. But, the Dutch love to save money, so they often do it themselves.
We installed the entire system ourselves to see how easy or challenging it was. It’s straightforward. It is essential to ensure the sensors are correctly placed and have the best signal. The app allows you to see and test everything yourself, but it can take some time in a Ajax Systems large home.
Before you can install and mount, you will need the AJAX app. AJAX App is available free of charge for iOS and Android. It is easy to create an Account after you download it. After creating your account, you can begin adding hubs to your device. While the app’s entirety is in Dutch, it does not include the manuals.
Once you have connected the hub, your hub will be set up in minutes. The corner also has the most options for setting up and removing settings. It is essential to read the manual carefully. This is something I do not do with many products. In this case, however, it is recommended that you sit down. Some many options and settings can be confusing. You also learn about the operation of your alarm system. You can modify how the hub communicates with outsiders (WiFi/ethernet, SIM), and you can make security schemes. (When the alarm must be on or off), you may also add an alarm center for access. Advanced settings can be made regarding the communication between sensors on the hub and with the outside. We’ll take a closer look at some of the most basic settings later in this review.
Once the hub becomes active, you can add sensors and products. All sensors and products work almost the same. After you indicate that you want to add the device, scan the QR code or paper on the box, and each device is added at the push of one button. The app requires you to create rooms and assign various products and sensors to that room. While we haven’t had any issues, it is recommended that you take an hour and focus on this task. This helps to prevent errors and ensures that all data is accurately added to the app.
If you already know the location of the sensors or devices you wish to place, you can assign them immediately after adding them. You can specify the delay between entering and leaving (wait a while before the alarm sounds) or whether the sensor should only work with a full alarm. Additionally, you can select your sensor’s name and the area where it should hang. Additional options are available depending on which product you have, so check the manual.
Once everything has been tested and is functioning correctly (e.g., remove the magnet from the contact to try it), it is time to install the products. The motion detector should be placed at the height of at least 2.40m. However, it must also be mounted at an exterior height of 80cm. It would be best if you also considered the walkway and whether or not there are any moving objects in your image.
